Kulturraum-Symposium #1

After the successful "Kick-Off Kulturraummanagement" in March 2023 and a intensive collaboration, we were delighted with the great and positive response to the first Kulturraum-Symposium#1 on December 8, 2023 at Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld (CBE).

Together with Kulturraummangement we organized the symposium. Our goal was to shed light on key challenges and opportunities for cultural spaces in Cologne and to bring together stakeholders from administration, politics and the independent art scene.

An inspiring impulse came from the Haus der Statistik Berlin, which presented their cooperative development processes. Afterwards, the participants were able to design the process and simulate the steps to site potential development in strategic simulation.

The numerous contributions and committed participation showed how great the need for such exchange formats is. The documentation of the results should not only portray the discussions of this day, but also form a basis for further knowledge transfer and future dialogs.

The exchange between politics, administration and those working in the arts and culture must continue - because only together can we secure existing spaces and create new places for art and culture.
